World Association for Supported Employment
(WASE) is established in March 1995. The main reason to establish an organization at world level is the growing attention for Supported Employment at international level and the opportunities to use communication and information technologies, so that many people can benefit from experiences all over the world.WASE is an organization formed to promote the employment of individuals with disabilities throughout the world. Through research, data collection and co-operative partnerships, WASE’s aim is to provide linkage between research organizations, national and international organizations, service providers and individuals. |

| WASE’s
intention is to pull together data and experience all over the world to further
the development and implementation of Supported Employment world-wide. WASE is still a small organization and is interested to establish co-operation links all over the world. Structure of WASEThe structure WASE is developing
is to make geographical links, especial in those regions where the method
of Supported Employment needs further development. In co-operation with
organizations which have gained a lot of experience with the method of
Supported Employment WASE can provide information, change experience and
can for example give support to develop the method of Supported Employment
in developing countries. |
